Evel Knievel Rides Again!
That's right, Ladies and Gentlemen! Evel Knievel made an appearance today in the Holme Avenue stretch of Philadelphia's Pennypack Park. He attempted a daring jump over a dirt hill, and landed successfully without a scratch. This was not enough for Mr. Knievel however!
He rode around for a second attempt; this one being even bolder and more daring than the first! He mounted his bicycle and pedalled towards the jump as if the devil was chasing him. Mr. Knievel hit the ramp and soared at least 7 feet into the air! A true spectacle for all to see! Then Mr. Knievel overcompensated for his landing approach by leaning too far forward. His center of balance was thrown off, and Mr. Knievel collided with the earth in a surely fatal degree.
Thankfully, Evel Knievel had the good sense to wear his helmet for this display. Mr. Knievel was able to walk away from the failed stunt with little more than dirty scrapes...and a broken clavicle.
That's right, everyone! I broke my collarbone today. I am not in as much pain as I was earlier, but if I could describe it in one word, it would be: DAMN! I will be wrapped up in a sling for at least a week, and I don't know what will happen after that. I may not be able to update for a while, but I will do my best. Typing with only my left hand is not easy! Until then...stay tuned!
